This year, on the 15th of July, the University of Leipzig conferred Supervisor Awards for the first time. In this context, Prof. Dr. Christoph Baums, head of the Institute of Bacteriology and Mycology, was honored as one of three mentors for excellent supervision of doctoral students. The jury thereby followed the nomination of researchers who have been outstandingly mentored, constructively supported in their work and continuously encouraged in the past and present by Prof. Baums. The prize money is intended for funding of young scientists. Congratulations!
