Abstract
I work as a Spanish and Translation teacher at Leipzig University. My academic background includes a degree in Translation and Interpreting as well as a Master's in Applied Linguistics. Currently, I am currently doing a PhD in Sociolinguistics, focusing on the linguistic attitudes of native speakers towards newspeakers in Galician. I have been working at Leipzig University since 2021, where I teach both language and translation courses. My main interests lie in second language adquisition and sociolinguistic phenomena.

My research focuses on the sociolinguistics of Galician, with a particular interest in new speakers and their interactions with native speakers, especially how the latter react to the former.
In the area of translation studies, I am particularly interested in neural machine translation and the application of AI systems to minority languages, for example, how they can be beneficial or detrimental to the survival of these languages.
