Research
The ATI supports research projects in veterinary medicine and agricultural science or the interfaces between these fields.
The support can be of an administrative nature, but also in terms of personnel.
Currently, there are cooperations with the Clinic for Birds and Reptiles, the Clinic for Cloven-hoofed Animals, the Institute of Veterinary Physiology, the Institute of Veterinary Physiology and Chemistry and the Institute of Veterinary Parasitology.
Study
Our declared aim is to integrate and convey agricultural science content in the study of veterinary medicine.
Lectures on the basics of agriculture (lecture title "Landwirtschaftlehre", 1st semester) are intended to give future veterinarians an insight into the conditions and processes in different types of agricultural operations.
The importance of veterinary work is placed in the context of agricultural production and economic efficiency.
The lecture content forms the basis for further knowledge transfer, for example in the subjects of animal breeding / genetics, animal welfare and veterinary public health.
