As part of the research project "In-vitro system for the characterisation of the allergic potential of human and animal pathogenic fungi", the project leader offers a one-day workshop for interested members of the research platform for zoonoses. In theory and practice, the participants will be introduced to the Precision cut slices method and how they can implement it in their research fields.

2 external speakers with expertise in the field of precision cut slices, presumably from the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine, and from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover with insights into the use of the method

Company representative, the company that distributes the vibratome. Demonstration of the use and explanation of the possible uses of the device.

Internal speaker, the applicant, PD Dr. Uwe Müller: Explanation of the study results in the project applied for here with the aid of the vibratome

Practical part:             

The technology will be demonstrated in detail to the workshop participants. In retrospect, each participant has the opportunity to gain practical experience with the device and the method on the device itself, in order to independently establish corresponding experiments in retrospect.


Participation in the course is free of charge for the participants. There are only costs for travel, accommodation and meals.
