Prof. Dr. Christoph Baums and Prof. Dr. Gottfried Alber have acquired a grant for a DFG-funded research project to investigate the B-cell response in pigs. The three-year project will start shortly.

The research project "Immunoglobulin M-degrading enzyme of Streptococcus suis (IdeSsuis): modulation of B-cell function and consequences for mucosal colonization" is a cooperation of the Institute of Bacteriology and Mycology and the Institute of Immunology. The work is supervised by Prof. Baums and Prof. Alber. At the Institute of Immunology a full postdoctoral position and a 25% position for a technical employee will be financed for 3 years.
